Admission Criteria

(Session: 2023-2024)

  • A student who has passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent Examination is eligible to seek admission to the 1st year of the B.A./B.Sc/ B.Com Course of Studies provided the candidate has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.
  • No student shall be allowed to take admission after a lapse of more than 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination. (Explanation – Last Year of Passing HS or equivalent allowed for Admission is 2021).
  • For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the B.A./B.Sc./B.Com Courses, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a student. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies (ENVS) shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks.

B.Com (Core)-FACM
55% in aggregate and 60% in Accountancy / Costing & Taxation / Business Studies / Management / Commerce / Mathematics / Business Mathematics / Economics / Business Economics.
Bengali (Core) - BGNM
55% marks in Bengali OR 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the Bengali.
Economics (Core) - ECOM
50% marks in the aggregate and 50% in Mathematics/ Business Mathematics.
Education (Core) - EDCM
55% marks in Education OR 50% marks in Education and 50 % marks in the aggregate OR 55% in aggregate when the candidate not studied the subject in last examination.
English (Core) - EGNM
60% marks in English and 55% marks in the aggregate OR 55% marks in English and 60% marks in the aggregate.
Hindi (Core) - HNDM
55% marks in Hindi OR 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the Hindi
History (Core) - HISM
55% marks in History and 50% marks in Bengali/English OR 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the History and 50% marks in Bengali/English.
Journalism and Mass Communication (Core) - JORM
50% marks in the aggregate and 50% marks in English/Bengali/Hindi/Urdu.
Philosophy (Core) - PHIM
55% marks in Philosophy/Psychology/ Math/ Education/ Sociology/ Political Science OR 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the Philosophy/Psychology/ Math/ Education/ Sociology/ Political Science.
Political Science (Core) - PLSM
55% marks in Political Science and 50% marks in Bengali/English OR 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the Political Science and 50% marks in Bengali/English.
Urdu (Core) - LURM
55% marks in Urdu OR 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the Urdu.
3 Year B.Com.
40% in Aggregate and 40% in Accountancy / Costing & Taxation / Business Studies / Management / Commerce / Mathematics / Business Mathematics / Economics / Business Economics
3 Year B.A.
Passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent Examination.
3 Year B.Sc.
