Students’ Canteen

The college canteen holds a unique and cherished significance, serving as a vibrant space for social interactions in student life. It is a special place in the heart of campus life, serving as more than just a spot for meals. For ex-students, it is a treasure trove of nostalgic repository of countless memories evoking nostalgia for the laughter, debates, and casual conversation that defined their college years. It is a vibrant hub where friendship is forged over cups of coffee and plates of snacks. Continuing students see it as a sanctuary from academic pressure and a space to unwind and connect with peers. The canteen also plays an essential role in the collegiate experience, providing a relaxed environment that contrasts with the rigors of academic life, thereby contributing to the overall well-being and holistic development of students and bridging the gap between diverse groups and facilitating a shared college experience that endures long after graduation.
Our college canteen is situated on the ground floor of the campus and operates efficiently under the supervision of the college administration. A canteen sub-committee, comprising a team of teacher-members, is assigned to oversee its effective management. Daily operations are handled by an externally appointed cook, and cleanliness is maintained by a designated sweeper. The canteen operates from 10 am to 5 pm on each working day of the college, as it did before the pandemic. It provides students with healthy, high-quality food at reasonable prices, as listed on the canteen’s wall. Things have been a little different since the college opened after the pandemic, and the canteen has been working in spurts, often remaining closed for long periods of time.
